How to export data from WorkflowMax

With the announcement that WorkflowMax is being discontinued, many users are understandably concerned about the future of their business management software.

If you are a WorkflowMax user who is looking for how to move from the platform, it can be beneficial to start the process sooner rather than later. By taking proactive steps to migrate to a new platform, you can avoid any potential stress, rushed decision-making, and data loss.

Although the closure of WorkflowMax will disrupt businesses worldwide, it also opens up new possibilities. Through exploring new solutions, you can unlock new efficiencies, streamline your workflow, and achieve greater success.

Are you wondering how to get data out of your WorkflowMax account? The following tips will help you towards migrating away from WorkflowMax.

Exporting your data

The Workflowmax data export is a critical step in the migration process, and it is best to do this as soon as possible to avoid any potential issues. By exporting a backup of all your data in an XML file, you can easily import it into your new platform and continue your work without any interruption.

How to export your data

Step 1: Navigate to the subscription screen

You can do this by clicking on the Business menu and selecting Subscription.

Step 2: Select the export tab

Once you're on the Subscription screen, select the Export tab. This will take you to the Export file screen.

Step 3: Confirm the export

On the Export screen, click on the Export button to start the export process. A pop-up window will appear, asking you to confirm that you want to export all your data. Click on the Confirm button to proceed.

Step 4: Wait for the export to complete

The time it takes to complete the export process depends on the size of your data. For larger accounts, it may take several hours to complete the process.

You can check the progress of your export by navigating back to the Subscription screen and selecting the Export tab.

Step 5: Download your data

Once the export process is complete, you will receive an email with a link to a downloadable zip file. Click on the download link.

This link will only be available for 24 hours, so make sure to download your data as soon as possible.

It is important to note that the data will be exported as a collection of XML files. If you plan to migrate to another platform, you will need to ensure that the new platform can accept this file format.

If the new platform cannot accept XML files, you may need to convert the data to a different format before importing it into the new system.

Note: Projectworks accepts XML file types.
