Bound started using Projectworks so the team could oversee their project resourcing, invoicing and staff needs. We spoke with Shelley, the Accountant at Bound about her experience using Projectworks.
Challenge
Shelley is hands on sourcing projects and looking after staff needs. She helps the project managers straighten out processes by pre-populating data for ongoing projects and invoicing.
“Some of our projects involve a lot of people, several budgets across different timeframes… It’s about the quality of information. If I’m not getting the correct information at the start of setting up a project or a person, the outcome is inaccurate.”
Shelley’s role as a Chartered Accountant requires strong communication tools and an accurate system to develop processes that lead to high quality project outcomes.
Before Projectworks, creating clean processes was a significant pain point for Bound.
“Previously we used another software program for timesheets, but it was very clunky. It wasn’t a smooth process…Reporting was limited or difficult to achieve. It was no longer meeting our Company’s needs so that’s why we moved to Projectworks.”

“The most valuable thing for me is time sheeting and invoicing. It’s such a smooth process compared to where we used to be. The fact that it syncs across to Xero for our financial reporting is a key factor. Also the process of leave requests going straight through to Xero payroll is fantastic.”
Projectworks also gives Bound’s team members the permissions that they need to do their job. From staff who use the basic access like entering timesheets to project managers who seek exposure to budgets and resourcing.
